Sparkling

Graham Beck, Sparkling Rosé—A perennial WW favorite as cellarmaster Pieter Ferreira continues his quest for “the perfect bubble,” – a small mousse to carry a gentle flavors with elegance. Graham Beck sparkling (Brut) was served both at Nelson Mandela’s and Obama’s inauguration. Hard to beat value at $17.99 per bottle.

Bermejos, Rosato— Organically-farmed Listan Negre from Lanzarote, Canary Islands. Grown in black, volcanic, porous, soils, each vine is planted in a cavity dug both to capture the few inches of rain each year and to protect the vines from the fierce winds. Beautiful, unique sparkling pink. Zero dosage. $37.99

White

Broc Cellars, Love White— Chirs Brockway, garagista winemaker out of Berkeley produced this blend of Marsanne/Roussanne/Viognier. Organically-farmed at Love Ranch in Madera County, the wine wine is made naturally—no commercial yeasts, fermented in large Hungarian oak then moved to German casks where malo occurs naturally over 6 months; unfined, unfiltered. $18.99

Red

Broc Cellars, Love Red— Carignan, Valdiguié, Syrah blend. The Carignan and Valdiguié are dry-farmed, head-pruned, 50-70 year old vines from Frei Vineyard in Solano County’s Green Valley. The Carignan and Valdiguié are a field blend that are destemmed then fermented naturally in open-top, wood fermenters to which a small amount of syrah is blended before bottling unfined and unfiltered. $19.99

Passione e Sentimento (Passion and Feeling) — Merlot, Corvina, left to dry, to which is added some Croatina. Lush, creamy, hedonistic wine from NE Valpolicella. As the Pasqua family says, the wine celebrates the land of Romeo and Juliet. $15.99
