Virtual Wine Tasting Process
For those of you new to the tastings, we open two bottles together– available for purchase at Windham Wines– and talk with the winemaker or winery owner about terroir, grapes, farming practices and wine.
Come into the shop, buy the wines, leave us your email so that we can send the Zoom link. For the tasting, have your wines ready, prepare some snacks, and relax into the evening with some delicious conversation.

We kick off the new tasting season with a trip to one of Italy’s smallest wine regions, the Südtirol in northern Italy.
Long known as a white wine region (still 64% of its total production), reds are now coming on strong. We’ll taste both and talk about the region’s trajectory in response to changes from global warming.
Our guide will be Ines Giovanett whose grandfather founded Castelfeder 53 years ago. Join us to learn about the region and the winery, and to taste together their Kerner (white) and their Lagrein (red). We also have one of their Pinot Noirs available and will talk about that since they see it as a new focus for the region.
