Virtual Wine Tasting Process
For those of you new to the tastings, we open two bottles together– available for purchase at Windham Wines– and talk with the winemaker or winery owner about terroir, grapes, farming practices and wine.
Come into the shop, buy the wines, leave us your email so that we can send the Zoom link. For the tasting, have your wines ready, prepare some snacks, and relax into the evening with some delicious conversation.

Virtual Tasting: Palmento Costanzo, Etna with Valeria Agosta
We are excited to share with you the principal grapes of Mount Etna through the two terrific entry-level wines of Palmento Costanzo. Our guide will be owner, Valeria Agosta, who will talk with us about volcanic soils and Etna's influence, the unique varieties and the vineyard practices that have propelled these wines to the international wine stage.
Noelia Ricci, Emila-Romagna with Valentine Davide
Our two November tastings are meant to provide some options for your Thanksgiving table. From Noelia Ricci, we'll taste a white from Trebbiano and a red made from Sangiovese. Emilia-Romagna, on the other side of the Apennines from Tuscany, is arguably the birthplace of Sangiovese. The Noelia Ricci vineyards cover just 7 hectares of the 140 that comprise the family farm, called Tenuta Pandolfa near Predappio. We will definitely delve into the Manifesto that introduces Noelia Ricci as "the story of those who never stop dreaming."
San Martino Winery, Basilicata with Lorenzo Piccin
We finish our 2021 calendar with our first tasting from a Basilicata producer. Lorenzo's 6 hectares of vines are farmed organically. All are planted with the region's foremost indigenous variety, Aglianico. We'll taste two of the three Aglianicos he makes.
Virtual Tasting: Gian Luca Colombo Segni di Langa of Piedmont
Barbera and Nebbiolo from Piedmont, of course, but Pinot Noir?. . . yes, from Gian Luca Colombo, a young, driven, thoughtful winemaker who farms just over 5 hectares, organically and with biodynamic practices. Gian Luca may be the most intense winemaker who has led a tasting at Windham Wines. That intensity translates into the bottle as he produces just 1700 cases across the 5 wines he makes. Join us for a trip to the Langhe, led by Gian Luca.

Kivelstadt Cellars has an estate vineyard in Bennett Valley (Sonoma County) and buys grapes for its "experimental side project," KC Cellars. The KC Labs Syrah has been very popular with our customer-friends. We'll do at least one KC Labs wine with Jordan and probably an estate wine as well.
