Hey, gang. Here is the promised ‘review’ of the vaunted Dogfish Head special: Moderate to strong hops, but not bright enough for my taste. Modulating malt and organic undertones give too much relief to otherwise bright hoppy impact, though the organic bass notes, suggestive of tropical wood, add some intrigue. My ideal right now is the bitter ale from McNeil’s. De gustibus non disputandum est. All the best, Paul
